When talking about WiMAX, one organization that receives frequent mention is the WiMAX Forum. But who are they and what do they do?The WiMAX Forum is a non-profit organization which began in June of 2001. The group is most infamous for developing the “WiMAX” name. However, the organization’s primary purpose is to work with broadband wireless products. Most frequently, the Forum works towards the harmonized IEEE 802.16/ETSI HiperMAN standard.
